Theology and Science in Copernicus’ Universe

چکیده

The publication of Copernicus’ On the Revolutions Heavenly Spheres (since now on referred to as Revolutions) marked beginning Scientific Revolution. Christian doctrine played a key role for emergence scientific turning point, that brought about transition from qualitative quantitative approach natural phenomena. Although Polish scientist was not philosopher in ordinary sense term, he shared with many other protagonists modern science idea universe mathematical harmony created by God. In this sense, thought completed development took place since Scholastic Age. historical period between XII and XVII century, indeed, Christianity proved fundamental factor considerable growth knowledge.
